ST PETER PORT 1780 a sloop of war and frigate are shown on the Guernsey station. Various squadrons of British warships were deployed to the Islands in the French revolutionary and Napoleonic wars. Castle Cornet can be seen to the left and on the right is the south end of St. Peter Port.
